AF membership: Bylaws for Membership
The rules for becoming a member of Alliance francaise de Lucknow is as follows:
(a) Application for membership of the Association will be made on a prescribed form along with a brief bio-data, a passport size photograph, and a copy of Adhaar or Passport.
(b) The application for membership is required to be proposed and seconded by any two members of the Association and sent to the Director who will place them for screening before the Executive Committee at the next meeting.
(c) No application for Active Membership shall be accepted in the period between the announcement of an election of the executive committee and till the declaration of result. Provided that student members shall be directly enrolled online as members at the time of admission to any course offered by Alliance francaise de Lucknow and will be exempted from screening by the Executive Committee.
(d) No application from any person who was previously a member and whose membership was terminated in accordance with the rules shall be considered until all dues previously outstanding, if any, are paid in full.
(e) Admission of new members to the Association shall be by a show of hands and a simple majority of the members of the Executive Committee present and voting. No reason is to be stated if an application is rejected and no further application for membership from the same person shall be considered until after the expiry of at least one year from the date of such rejection.
(f) After the approval of the EC, the applicant will be informed by e-mail for submission of the membership fee for a period of 12 months in advance after which he/she will be deemed admitted as an Active Member of Alliance Francaise de Lucknow and registered.
