DELF-DALF Certifications
The DELF (Diplôme d’Études en Langue Française for beginner and intermediate students) and DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française for advanced students) are official qualifications issued by the French Ministry of Education to certify French language proficiency of foreign students. Available in all the French Alliances in the world, the DELF-DALF examination is an international diploma assessing your skills in the 4 reference domains of language proficiency: Understanding, Speaking, Reading, and Writing.
DELF & DALF qualifications are consistent with the international standards for test development (www.alte.org) and The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL)
The available DELF-DALF exams organised at the Alliance Française de Lucknow are:
- DELF-DALF Tout public (17 years old and above) – from levels A1 to C1
- DELF Junior (11-17 years old)
Adapted to the teenage lifestyle and the DELF Junior corresponds to the interests of teens. The DELF examinations are recognized around the world, and your child will receive a diploma valid for the rest of his or her life! Do note that the final diploma is exactly the same for DELF Junior & Adult. - DELF Prim (7-11 years)
The first level in the DELF / DALF series, it is intended for children who are beginners in French as a Foreign Language and who are either undertaking studies corresponding to the French elementary level or are the right age to undertake such studies under the regulations applicable in their country. Successful candidates receive a certificate identical to the general public version. - Important :
- All versions and all levels may not be offered at all sessions. Please consult our online registration portal.
- Seats are limited and registrations are on a first come first served basis through our online registration portal.
- Incomplete registrations or registration for versions for which the candidate is ineligible will be declared invalid and no refund will be given.

Note that these are national rates, valid for all Alliances françaises in India and decided by the French Embassy in India.
DELF Preparation
Should you need it, Alliance française de Lucknow also offers preparation classes for DELF examinations with official subjects provided by France Education International and according to the specific methodology of the examination. A minimum of 5 persons should enrol so that a DELF Preparation workshop is open in Alliance française de Lucknow.
How to register ?
All aspiring candidates for the DELF/DALF examinations are hereby informed that registrations for each session will take place on the same date.
